Green Growth Beverage is a marketing company that represents developing spirit and wine brands from around the world. Green Growth Beverage has a seasoned executive team with a combined 50+ years in the beverage alcohol industry with established distributor relationships throughout the country.

Navigating and providing access to the U.S. 3-tier alcoholic beverage system and establishing brands in market quickly and successfully is what we do. We value our partnerships and personal relationships and are passionate about building brands and delivering results.

Our Story

Beverage industry veterans with decades of experience across all aspects of the three-tier system determined to provide a pathway to an alternative solution for sustainable profitable growth within an emerging total beverage landscape.
First-hand experience with the challenges and realities suppliers face every day building their brands in an environment where the deck is stacked against them and the opportunity for successful outcomes is daunting at best.
Beyond the brand itself, route-to-market and local sales and marketing support for a brand are arguably the two most critical variables to success. Traditional wine and spirit wholesalers capability to provide the necessary share of mind and commercial pressure for brands and categories skews disproportionately to top tier supplier portfolios at the expense of the vast majority of brands that they represent. This dynamic persists and in fact, will continue to represent an enormous challenge to overcome without a strategy to solve for the current gap for brands.
Our vision and strategy have been developed with an eye on a solution at a time where a brands necessary reliance on supplier headcount to provide local sales and marketing support has never been greater given the restrictive landscape within a traditional wine and spirit wholesalers route-to-market realities. Either an alternative route-to-market option and/or alignment with a strategic broker resource model solves for the end-to-end challenges to sustainable profitable growth at a fraction of the cost of dedicated supplier headcount.
Timing coupled with circumstances equals opportunity and GGB has been created to capitalize with a timely and effective solution!

Our Leadership

Jeff Colbert - CEO

Jeff is a proven C-level senior executive with extensive and progressive leadership experience and a successful track record in positions of increasing scope and responsibility within both the alcohol and non-alcohol industries.  Nearly 20 years of beer industry experience and most recently, 10 years of spirits industry experience in a variety of leadership roles for companies ranging from $250M to $1B in revenue.  Those companies include MillerCoors, MolsonCoors, Heineken, Bacardi, Mast-Jägermeister and Coca Cola Enterprises.

Jeff has developed and maintains long standing relationships with distributors coast to coast and has vast supplier experience within both beer and spirits, large and small, along with distributor experience as a General Manager with Coca-Cola.

He demonstrates confidence and experience with board level engagement and participation along with a high level of comfort with meaningful engagement across varied media and industry platforms. A hands-on, results oriented leader with unwavering focus on both top-line and bottom-line growth. A record of success in development and implementation of strategic initiatives delivering market share growth, profitability and shareholder value along with a track record of “simply getting things done”.

Darren Hunt - Vice President, Sales and Marketing

Darren Hunt is a seasoned professional with over two decades of extensive experience in the beverage industry, marked by a series of leadership roles and notable achievements across top-tier companies. Most recently, Darren served as the Director of Sales and Business Strategy at Eagle Distributing Inc, where he spearheaded strategic initiatives and sales operations for 21 months.

Prior to his tenure at Eagle Distributing, Darren was the Vice President of Sales at Western Son Distillery for nearly five years. In this role, he was instrumental in driving business growth in the North region, leveraging his deep understanding of market dynamics and consumer preferences.

Darren’s expertise was further honed during his time as the Midwest Market Manager at Constellation Brands. There, he managed a substantial portfolio.  His strategic insights and operational acumen were key drivers of this success.

Darren’s career trajectory includes a significant tenure at Bacardi USA, where he joined as the Region Manager for the Midwest. He brought a wealth of experience from his previous role at Diageo-Guinness USA, where he spent six years as a Distributor Manager, refining his skills in distribution management and market expansion.

Darren’s foundational experience in the beverage industry began at E. & J. Gallo Winery, where he started as a field representative in Oklahoma before being promoted to Area Manager in Louisiana. This early experience provided him with a comprehensive understanding of field operations and market management.
